He was instrumental in obtaining a $5.5 million settlement in a trucking accident and a $2.5 million settlement in a premises liability case against a national restaurant alongside David Buffen and Jenny Robinson. Ivan Rittenberg and Steve recently obtained a $443,000 verdict in a Retaliatory Discharge lawsuit for someone who had been fired for remaining off work on his doctor’s advice.

Steve has fought and won against major corporations who think of their workers as numbers and not people. He has won numerous six-figure settlements in serious injury cases as well as countless smaller awards where the clients have been fairly compensated for their injuries. He has represented clients in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, McHenry, and Iroquois counties. He appears regularly in the Circuit Court of Cook County, the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission, the Northern District of Illinois, and has argued several cases before the First District Appellate Court.

Steve has been featured on ABC 7, NPR, Telemundo and Univision to talk about cases that he handled. His cases have been featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin as well as the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Workers Compensation Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He currently serves on the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee.
